The network illustrated represents a project to provide, integrated fire protection and security throughout a European fibre optic broadband network. The entire project was installed over a 24 month period encompassing more than 300 sites. CFS was responsible for the first signals to reach the Network Operations Centre in London. This signal ensured our client could begin charging for an operative network to recover some of the massive costs of installing the network infrastructure.
The system was so advanced that a door could be unlocked instantaneously by the click of a mouse in London, even if the door was on a remote cabin on a railway siding in Eastern Germany.
The solution in this case was the CFOS control panel designed and manufactured for CFS for this specific project yet utilising off the shelf technology to ensure an open protocol solution.
